Nutrition Journey
Melissa knows that much of the existing information about food and diet comes from the food industry instead of medical and health professionals. The journey towards healthy eating can be fraught with confusing and misleading terrain. Melissa feels strongly about cutting through the food industry misinformation and teaching individuals how to get back to the basic nutrition truths. Melissa has taught introductory nutrition as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Washington.
Melissa received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Alberta in Edmonton (Canada). She completed her Master of Science in Nutritional Science at the University of Washington. She has completed additional specialized nutrition support certifications and is an avid learner.
